Magic Tournament
Friday Night Magic
We run DCI sanctioned swiss style tournaments in our Friday Night Magic Program. Foil Promos are awarded to the top two finishers, and two randomn participants. Booster prizes are divided among those players who finish in the top half. We must have a minimum of eight participants in order to report this event to the DCI.
Standard Tournaments - You must pay a $5.00 entrance fee to participate. Bring a 60 card minimum deck made up from the following sets: Magic 2010, Shards of Alara, Conflux, Alara Reborn,Zendikar and WorldWake. Booster prize pool is divided among those players who finish in the top half.
Sealed Tournaments - The cost to enter is $25.00. Build your 40 card minimum deck from six boosters and store lands. The booster prize pool is divided among those players who finish in the top half.
Booster Draft Tournaments - The cost to participate is $15.00. Each player receives 3 booster packs and what you draft is what you take home. Build your minumum 40 card deck from the cards you pull to defeat your opponents and win this Swiss style tournament. DCI results reporting is dependent on having eight participants. Booster prize pool is divided among those players who finish in the top half.
Release and Pre-release Tournaments - These are special tournaments with additional prizes and support from Wizards of the Coast. The typical release tournament is run as a four round swiss style tourney with a eight player playoff. These are generally our best attended tournaments. The entrance fee for a Release or Pre-release tournament is $25.00. The next Pre-Release is for the "Action" set on May 14 2011. The "Action" Launch Party is scheduled for May 21 2001. Deck building starts at noon, 1st round goes off at 1pm
